Student Experience

Browsing and Reading

Students have easy access to books at just the right reading level through their unique, personalized bookshelf. Teachers can assess comprehension of the text via quizzes and track students' mastery of skills and state standards.

Teacher Experience

Progress monitoring

Rosen LevelUp incorporates progress-monitoring assessments and provides intuitive reporting for analysis. By incorporating the Lexile Framework® for Reading, students can meet standard grade and age level benchmarks. Educators have access to online or downloadable reporting at a glance, plus the ability to drill down to over 100 data points at the district, school, class, and student levels.

Initial Site Maps

I developed site maps to help our team visualize the structure of the teacher and student interfaces.
This method was useful as a launching point for wireframes and identifying key screens and user flows.

Wireframes

I created annotated wireframes of key screens and share these with shareholders and developers to articulate features and navigation.

User Flows and Mapping

I created flow diagrams like the one below throughout the design and development process. The diagram on the left helped clarify a complex pathway for how students would earn points based on their reading and quiz activity.

On the right is a scenario map I created to clarify the user/task flow for a new assessment feature.
